  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ Tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup milk (unsweetened almond milk recommended) Can substitute with any plant-based milk.
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (or vanilla) Can use plant-based yogurt for dairy-free option.
  • 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup Can substitute with honey or agave syrup.
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp molasses

Spices

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • tsp ground cloves
  • Pinch ground nutmeg

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on the kitchen counter.
  • In your mason jar or suitable container, combine rolled oats, chia seeds, and dry spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg). Mix well.
  • Pour in the milk, followed by the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, molasses, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness and spice to your liking.
  • Seal the container and refrigerate overnight (or at least 3-4 hours).
  • The next morning, stir the mixture. If too thick, add a splash of milk.
  • Top with your favorite fruits, nuts, or seeds before serving.

Notes

Store overnight oats in a sealed container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Can be reheated if desired. Avoid using instant oats as they may become mushy.
