Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure the lobster meat is cooked and chopped.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat with melted butter. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat.
  • Slice hot dog buns but keep a pocket for stuffing. Butter the outer sides.
  • Toast the buns in the skillet or grill for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Place lettuce leaves inside toasted buns if using.
  • Fill each bun with the prepared lobster mixture generously.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
  • Consider garnishing with fresh herbs or sauces if desired.

Notes

To store, separate the lobster filling from the buns. Store the lobster in an airtight container for up to two days and the buns in a dry place. For reheating, warm the lobster gently and toast the buns again for crispness. You can also freeze the lobster filling for up to a month.
