  • 0.5 cup Key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Key lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and equipment, ensuring your cream cheese is softened to room temperature.

Cook the Base

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until evenly coated and slightly damp. Press firmly into the bottom of a greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown, then let cool completely.

Make the Filling

  • In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.

Combine Key Ingredients

  • Add Key lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until well combined and smooth.

Pour the Filling

  • Once the crust is cool, pour the Key lime filling over it and spread evenly.

Chill Your Bars

  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.

Cut Into Squares

  • After chilling, cut the bars into squares using a sharp knife.
