  • 1/4 cup honey Can be substituted with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aroma and flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing.

Preparation

  • Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces.
  • Wash the mixed vegetables and chop them into similar-sized pieces.
  • Mince the garlic.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add sliced kielbasa. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add mixed vegetables, tossing to coat in the oil and kielbasa. Cook for another 5-8 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  • Mix honey and soy sauce together in a small bowl.
  • Drizzle the honey and soy sauce mixture over the skillet and toss everything to coat.
  • Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. You can incorporate other proteins like chicken or tofu for variations. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.
