Irresistible Garlic Butter Pasta – Simple & Flavorful
This quick and comforting Garlic Butter Pasta combines roasted garlic, vegan butter, and fresh basil for a simple yet rich weeknight dinner ready in under 30 minutes.
8ozpasta of choicesuch as spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne
1/4cupdairy-free vegan butter
1/2cuproasted garlicsoft and sweet
2tbsptomato paste
1/4cupfresh basilchopped
salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
In a skillet, melt vegan butter over medium heat until it becomes frothy and aromatic.
Add roasted garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2–3 minutes to deepen the flavor.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
Season with salt, pepper, and fresh basil. Toss again and serve immediately, garnished with extra basil if desired.
Notes
For a twist, add red pepper flakes for spice or lemon zest for brightness. You can also mix in grilled tofu, shrimp, or chickpeas for added protein.
