Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to streamline the process.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar for about 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in sour cream, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and orange juice until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and the zests.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared cake pan and smooth the surface.

Baking

  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.

Notes
