  • 2 teaspoons flaky sea salt (like Maldon)
  • 1 unit lemon zest Zest of 1 lemon.
  • 2 tablespoons dried edible flowers
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup fresh mint (½ chiffonade, ½ whole leaves)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 sprig fresh basil, scattered
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • small red onion, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons chili d’arbol oil
  • ½ cup roasted garlic cloves
  • 3 sprigs rosemary, toasted
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 5 large figs, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves (½ chiffonade, ½ whole)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by allowing the unsalted butter to soften at room temperature for about 30-40 minutes.
  • Once the butter is softened, place it in a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, whip the butter until it becomes light and fluffy, roughly 2-3 minutes.
  • Using a spatula, spread the whipped butter across a wooden board or serving platter in a decorative swirl.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt and fresh lemon zest evenly over the butter.
  • Select toppings from the list provided and artistically arrange them over the butter.
  • Sprinkle ground coriander and cardamom over the arranged toppings.
  • Drizzle chili d’arbol oil generously over the board.
  • Add fresh cracked black pepper over the toppings.
  • Finish off by garnishing with toasted rosemary and any remaining fresh herbs.
  • Serve immediately with crusty bread, crisp crackers, or fresh-cut vegetables.

Notes

Leftover butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. It can also be frozen for up to three months in an airtight container.
