  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, sliced Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts Can substitute with sunflower or pumpkin seeds.
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 stick butter, melted Can be substituted with coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Gather all your ingredients.

Layering

  • Layer the sliced bananas at the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  • Spread the drained pineapple chunks evenly over the bananas.
  • Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and shredded coconut over the pineapple.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the layers.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix as evenly as possible.
  • Scatter the maraschino cherries on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be frozen if wrapped properly.
