Main Ingredients

  • 14 ounces 1 package cocktail sausages (lil smokies)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For extra spiciness
  • to taste Chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, including the cocktail sausages, garlic, olive oil, honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Mince the garlic and measure out the other ingredients. If you want to garnish, chop fresh parsley or slice green onions.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute or until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Add the cocktail sausages to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are evenly browned all over.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce until well combined. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or heat level if needed.
  • Pour the sauce over the browned sausages in the skillet. Stir to coat all the sausages well with the sauce.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sausages simmer in the sauce for about 3-5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and infuse the sausages with flavor.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.
  • Transfer the Hot Honey Garlic Little Smokies to a serving dish and serve warm with toothpicks for easy snacking.
