  • 1 cup fruit juice (your choice) Use pure fruit juice without added sugars.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Can be adjusted based on the sweetness preference.
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder Can be substituted with agar-agar for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon citric acid Optional, for a tangy kick.
  • 1/2 teaspoon flavor extract Optional, for additional flavor.
  • 1 set Candy molds Silicone molds are preferred for easy release.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and tools. Measure out fruit juice, sugar, and gelatin powder, and ensure candy molds are clean.

Cooking

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine fruit juice and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves (2-3 minutes).
  • Gradually sprinkle gelatin powder over the mixture while stirring continuously until fully dissolved (3-5 minutes).
  • If using, add citric acid and flavor extract, stirring until well blended.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into prepared candy molds, smoothing the tops with a spatula.

Setting

  • Refrigerate molds for approximately 2-3 hours until set.
  • Gently remove candies from molds, using a knife if necessary.
  • Store candies in an airtight container or enjoy immediately.

Notes

To maintain freshness, store in an airtight container at room temperature. For a less sweet option, reduce sugar in the recipe.
