  • 2 cups spiced apple cider (store-bought or homemade)

Fruits and Sweeteners

  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1 stick cinnamon stick (optional, for added flavor)

Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all the ingredients: slice the orange, rinse the cranberries and pomegranate seeds, and have the red wine ready.

Mixing the Base

  • In a large pitcher, pour in the red wine along with the spiced apple cider and stir gently to combine.

Adding Fruits

  • Add the sliced orange, cranberries, and pomegranate seeds into the pitcher.

Sweetening the Mix

  • If desired, sprinkle in the optional sugar and add the cinnamon stick. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

Chilling

  • Let the sangria chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours, or preferably overnight.

Serving

  • When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria over the ice, and garnish with extra slices of orange or cranberries.

Notes

Store leftover sangria in a tightly sealed pitcher in the refrigerator. Best consumed within 2-3 days. Avoid skipping the chilling step for best flavor.
