Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare a greased heart-shaped mold or a lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add in the marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth (2-3 minutes).
  • If using food coloring, mix it into the melted marshmallow mixture.
  • Remove from heat and gently stir in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  • Quickly transfer the mixture to the prepared mold or baking sheet, pressing down gently.
  • Allow to cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before cutting.
  • Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter or remove from mold and cut into shapes.
  • Decorate with sprinkles or candy hearts as desired.
