Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Use dairy-free for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil Can substitute with light flavored olive oil.
  • 1/4 cup beet juice For natural coloring, can substitute with raspberry or pomegranate juice.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste sea salt Optional topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients: dark chocolate chips, coconut oil, beet juice, and vanilla extract.
  • Prepare heart-shaped silicone molds.

Cooking

  • Place a double boiler over low heat and combine dark chocolate chips and coconut oil, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and mix in beet juice and vanilla extract until well combined.

Assembly

  • Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the molds, filling them evenly.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each heart, if desired.

Setting

  • Place the molds in the freezer for at least 30 minutes or until firm.
  • Gently press the chocolates out of the molds once set.

Serving

  • Enjoy your Healthy Pink Chocolate Hearts immediately or store for later.

Notes

Store in an airtight container; lasts up to two weeks in the fridge or several months in the freezer. Avoid using microwaves for reheating.
