Preparation

  • Prep your workspace and gather all ingredients and necessary tools: a pot, mixing bowl, and serving platter.
  • Boil the eggs by covering them with cold water in a pot, bringing to a boil, then simmering for 10-12 minutes.
  • Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Peel the eggs under running cold water.
  • Slice each egg in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  • Mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add green food coloring if desired.
  • Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  • Garnish with slices of black olives to create spooky eyes.
  • Refrigerate the assembled deviled eggs for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve on a festive platter and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Avoid freezing as it affects texture.
