Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and pre-measure them for a seamless cooking process.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb or beef with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour in the olive oil and mix again until well-combined.
  • Add water to the mixture and combine until smooth.

Shaping and Baking

  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the loaf for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Allow the loaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly for serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the meat mixture overnight. You can also substitute chicken or turkey for a leaner option and serve with your favorite sauces or toppings.
