Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Measure out the salsa verde, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, and seasonings.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the salsa verde, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Whisk until all the ingredients meld together into a vibrant marinade.

Marinating Chicken

  • Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they’re thoroughly coated in the marinade. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  • Carefully place the marinated chicken breasts on the hot grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken and grill for another 6-7 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F before consuming.
  • Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with additional salsa verde on top for an extra flavor boost.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of lime juice to the marinade. Avoid marinating for too long to prevent a mushy texture.
