Ingrédients
  

For the filling

  • 2 cups chili verde A green sauce made from tomatillos and spicy green chilies.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.
  • 1 cup sour cream For serving.
  • 1/2 cup diced onions Adds flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro Fresh herb for garnish.
  • 1 unit avocado, sliced Great topping.

For assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas Can substitute with corn tortillas for gluten-free.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Measure out the chili verde, shredded cheese, sour cream, diced onions, chopped cilantro, and sliced avocado.

Cooking

  • Warm the flour tortillas in a skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are flexible and slightly toasted.
  • Spread a portion of chili verde in the center of each warmed tortilla.
  • Generously add shredded cheese, diced onions, and chopped cilantro on top of the chili verde.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it from the bottom upwards to form a complete burrito.
  • Place the rolled burrito seam side down in the same skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve the crispy burritos hot with sour cream and avocado slices on the side.

Notes

To keep your burritos fresh, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze them. You can also substitute ingredients to fit your dietary needs.
