  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups French fried onions For topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Gather and prepare your ingredients, trimming and chopping fresh green beans into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper, mixing well until creamy.
  • Pour the green bean mixture into a 1.5-quart casserole dish, spreading evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until edges bubble.
  • Remove from oven and gently stir. Sprinkle French fried onions on top.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until onions are golden brown.
  • Let sit for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut milk and a vegan mushroom soup alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven.
