For the Honey Glaze

  • 0.5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools: mixing bowls, measuring cups, a whisk, spatula, and a loaf pan. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Whisk until evenly mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, being careful not to overmix.
  • Prepare the streusel topping by mixing brown sugar, melted butter, flour, and cinnamon until you have crumbly bits.

Assembly and Baking

  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel topping over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Prepare the honey glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and honey.
  • Once cooled, drizzle the honey glaze over the pumpkin bread.
  • Slice and serve as dessert or an afternoon snack.
