For the Fries

  • 3 large russet potatoes Peeled and sliced into even sticks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Optional

Preparation

  • Start by peeling and slicing the russet potatoes into even sticks.
  • Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once soaked, drain the potatoes and pat them dry thoroughly using a clean kitchen towel.

Cooking

  • In a bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, and optional garlic powder and paprika.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Carefully place the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the fries for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  • After the timer goes off, check the fries for doneness; they should be golden and crispy.
  • Once golden and crispy, remove the fries immediately and serve hot.

Notes

Ensure to soak the potatoes for a crispier texture. Consider using various seasoning blends or toppings for customization.
