  • Gather all your ingredients in one place.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Egg and Molasses

  • Once your butter and sugar are fluffy, add the egg and molasses to the mixture. Stir until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.

Roll Out the Dough

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Cut Shapes for the House

Bake the Gingerbread
