Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20) Ground turkey or chicken can be used as substitutes.
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Avoid pre-shredded cheese as it contains anti-caking agents.
  • 2 tbsp melted butter Used for brushing the tops.
  • 2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

Dough

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough You can use gluten-free dough options.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure ground beef is thawed, garlic is minced, and cheese is grated.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 to 7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Drain excess fat but leave some for flavor.
  • Add minced garlic and dried Italian seasoning to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Remove skillet from heat and stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  • Open the can of refrigerated flaky biscuit dough and separate it into individual pieces.

Assembly

  • Take about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture, placing it in the center of each biscuit piece.
  • Fold the dough over tightly, sealing completely.
  • Brush the tops of each pouch with melted butter.
  • Arrange filled biscuit pouches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Perfect for gatherings and can be served with dips like marinara sauce or garlic aioli.
