Preparation

  • Start by cleaning your mushrooms. Wipe them with a damp cloth or rinse briefly under water, then pat dry. Remove the stems if necessary.

Cooking

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the 4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat slightly and add the 1 pound of mushrooms. Stir to coat with the garlic and olive oil.
  • Cook the mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until tender and slightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the dried thyme, salt, and pepper, and toss to ensure even distribution.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove pan from heat, transfer mushrooms to a serving dish, and enjoy immediately while warm.

Notes

These mushrooms are versatile and can be customized with various herbs. They can be frozen and stored for up to 3-4 days in the fridge.
