Steaks and Seasoning

  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks Best cut for flavor and tenderness
  • Salt to taste Enhances overall flavor

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds rich flavor
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter For cooking and flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the steak

Garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the seasoned steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden-brown crust forms.
  • Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
  • In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  • Baste the steaks with melted garlic butter using a spoon.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes.
  • Slice the steaks against the grain, and serve garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For added customization, incorporate fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary into the butter. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness, aiming for 130-135°F for medium-rare.
