Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients measured out. Ensure the butter is softened.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pans or bento boxes.

Mixing the Batter

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter with the sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in milk and vanilla extract, mixing gently.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Baking the Cakes

  • Pour the batter into prepared pans, filling each about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pans for 5–10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Decoration

  • Once cooled, frost the cakes with your chosen frosting.
  • Decorate with your choice of toppings before serving.

Notes

To store, keep in an airtight container for 1-2 days at room temperature or refrigerate for longer freshness. They can be frozen for up to three months if wrapped individually.
