  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature. Chop the pecans and herbs finely for even mixing.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well until creamy and smooth.
  • Add chopped pecans, herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap to keep its form.
  • Chill the cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up and develop flavor.
  • Before serving, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in extra chopped pecans or herbs for garnish.
  • Place on a serving platter and serve with crackers, pretzels, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For variety, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce to the mixture. To make it nut-free, substitute pecans with sunflower seeds. Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. Let it thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
