For the yogurt sauce

  • 1 cup plain yogurt Dairy-free yogurt can be used
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Gives flavor complementary to meatballs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them out for ease.
  • Pre-chop the herbs, zest the lemon, and mince the garlic.

Mix the Meatball Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly until evenly distributed.

Form and Bake

  • Roll small portions of the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange meatballs, leaving space between each.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare the Yogurt Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix yogurt, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Serve

  • Let the meatballs cool slightly before serving with yogurt sauce on the side.

Storage

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Freeze for up to 3 months in a freezer-safe container.
