Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients, rinse the capers under cold water, and mince the garlic cloves.
  • Season each chicken breast generously with salt and pepper.
  • Coat each seasoned chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and wait until it shimmers.
  • Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and cover to keep warm.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, chicken broth, and capers, scraping the brown bits off the bottom and letting it simmer.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer the chicken to a serving platter, spoon sauce over the top, and garnish with parsley.
