  • 8 oz pasta (your choice)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving Optional for serving

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Chop the broccoli into small florets if not pre-prepared, and mince the garlic cloves.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  • When there are about 2-3 minutes left on the cooking time, gently add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta water.
  • Once both the pasta and broccoli are cooked to al dente, use a colander to drain them together.
  • While the pasta is draining, place a large skillet over medium heat and pour in the olive oil. Allow it to heat for about 1 minute.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the hot oil, and stir gently for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss everything gently to combine.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the mixture to taste, and toss thoroughly to mix the seasonings.
  • Serve the Easy Healthy Broccoli Pasta hot, optionally topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Great for meal prep. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For best taste, reheat gently.
