  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 ounces ham, sliced
  • 4 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and cut the chicken breast into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Flatten each piece of chicken to about a quarter-inch thick using a meat mallet, covering with plastic wrap.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each flattened piece of chicken.
  • Roll each chicken piece around the filling and secure with a toothpick.
  • Prepare a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each roll in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

Baking

  • Arrange the breaded rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  • Lightly spray the rolls with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bites can be customized with different cheeses or meats. For a spicy kick, add jalapeños to the filling. Ensure they cool before serving to enhance flavors.
