Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth baking process.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Add vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Use a spatula or whisk to combine until the dough is smooth.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls and roll them in powdered sugar.
  • Place the rolled balls on baking sheets lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
