Ingrédients
  

Peach Cobler Base

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter to be browned
  • 6 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for peaches)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
  • Prepare the peaches: in a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with ½ cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract, and toss to coat. Set aside ~10-15 minutes.
  • Brown the butter: melt ½ cup unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty (about 5-7 minutes); remove from heat immediately.
  • Pour browned butter over the peach mixture and stir gently to coat.
  • Make the topping: whisk 1 cup flour, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, and ½ tsp salt in a bowl. Add ½ cup milk and ¼ cup melted butter; stir until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • Transfer peach mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter evenly over the peaches; don’t worry if some peaches peek through.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  • Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh mint, or a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave (~30 sec) or oven at 350 °F (175 °C) until warm.
