  • 1 packet taco seasoning Adjust to taste

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and ensure the chicken is thawed.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken breasts flat in the base of your crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning liberally over the chicken breasts.
  • Pour the chicken broth gently over the seasoned chicken.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot.
  • Mix the shredded chicken thoroughly with the remaining cooking liquid.

Serving

  • Serve the shredded chicken in tacos, salads, or sandwiches and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For meal prepping, consider dividing into smaller portions. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
