Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Rinse the fresh spinach well and chop it into smaller pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well until smooth.
  • Fold the chopped spinach into the cheese mixture, ensuring even distribution.

Baking

  • Grease a baking dish with oil or cooking spray, and transfer the spinach and cheese mixture into the dish, smoothing the top.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top and add breadcrumbs if desired.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
