  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and prep your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Measure out the popcorn kernels.

Cooking

  • Pop the popcorn using an air popper or stovetop method.
  • For stovetop, heat oil in a pot, add kernels, cover, and pop until slowing.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt, stirring until boiling.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Drizzle caramel over the popped popcorn and mix well.
  • Fold in candy hearts gently.
  • Spread the mixture on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Allow to cool for 30-45 minutes.
  • Break cooled popcorn into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to a month. Reheat in short bursts if desired warm.
