Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients listed above.
  • Rinse and pat the chicken breasts dry to ensure they absorb the sauce better.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the crockpot.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, turning the breasts a few times to coat them well.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  • Once done, transfer the cooked chicken to a cutting board and shred into bite-sized pieces.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir well to combine with the remaining sauce.
  • Let it sit on the WARM setting for about 5–10 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed before serving.
  • Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
