Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean workspace.
  • Rinse the chicken under cold water, ensuring it’s clean and ready for seasoning. Pat it dry with paper towels.

Cooking

  • Carefully lower the seasoned chicken into the Crockpot, making sure it fits snugly.
  • Pour the chicken broth around the sides of the chicken.
  • Cover the Crockpot and set it on low heat for about 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before cooking ends, check the chicken’s internal temperature; it should reach at least 165°F.
  • Once done, carefully take the chicken out of the Crockpot using tongs or forks.
  • Let the chicken rest on a cutting board for 10-15 minutes before carving.
  • Slice or shred the chicken as desired.
