  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Can substitute with onion powder or Italian herbs.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Remove tofu from its package and press it to remove excess moisture.
  • Cut the pressed tofu into cubes or slices, according to your preference.

Mixing

  • In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until well mixed.
  • Add the tofu pieces to the bowl and toss gently to ensure they are well coated in the seasoning mixture.

Baking

  • Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Spread the tofu pieces in a single layer on the sheet, ensuring they do not touch each other.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crisping.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven when golden brown and crispy. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the seasoned tofu marinate for at least 15 minutes before baking. Consider using cornstarch for an even crisper texture. This recipe is customizable with various seasonings and dipping sauces.
