  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Wrappers & frying

  • 1 pack wonton wrappers
  • water for sealing
  • oil for frying heat to 350°F (175°C)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather and prep all ingredients: slice the green onions and chop the crab meat finely.

Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, finely chopped crab meat, sliced green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  • Place about 1 tsp of the crab mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water to seal securely. Fold into a triangle or pinch the corners together.

Frying

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the assembled wontons in small batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Draining

  • Remove the wontons from oil and drain on paper towels. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour or soy sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes for crispiness. Avoid using a microwave.
