  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese Can be substituted with goat cheese or feta.

Flavors

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Add-ins

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) For coating.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean surface, ensuring your cream cheese is softened.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and crumbled blue cheese. Blend until well incorporated.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, mixing to form a cohesive mixture.
  • Fold in finely chopped green onions.
  • Lay out a piece of plastic wrap, scoop the mixture onto it, and shape it into a ball. Wrap tightly.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to meld flavors.
  • Chop nuts while cheese ball chills.
  • Once firm, unwrap cheese ball and roll in chopped nuts to coat.
  • Transfer to a serving platter. Enjoy with crackers, veggie sticks, or sliced baguette.

Notes

This cheese ball can be made up to two days in advance and stored properly for fresh enjoyment. Great with a variety of dippers.
