Ingrédients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure that it’s ready when you are. Grease your baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add each egg to the butter-sugar mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the fresh cranberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the dessert to cool in the dish before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or cool and pair with whipped cream. This dessert can also be served at various occasions such as Thanksgiving or family dinners.
