Ingrédients
  

Jello Salad Base

  • 1 package cranberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 2 cups apples, diced preferably tart varieties
  • 1 cup chopped celery

Nuts and Sweetener

  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped Can substitute with almonds for allergen concerns.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Can use a sugar substitute if needed.

Optional Topping

  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip Optional for serving.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on the counter. Chop the cranberries, dice the apples, and chop the celery and walnuts.

Make the Gelatin Base

  • In a mixing bowl, dissolve the package of cranberry-flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully combined.
  • Add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir until combined.

Combine Ingredients

  • Add chopped cranberries, diced apples, chopped celery, and walnuts into the gelatin mixture. Stir gently to combine.

Chill the Salad

  • Carefully pour the mixture into a mold or your desired serving dish. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Prepare Topping

  • If using whipped cream, whip the cream or take out some Cool Whip while the salad sets.

Serve

  • Once set, gently run a knife around the edges of the mold before inverting onto a plate. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freezing is not recommended as it may alter the texture.
