Main Ingredients

  • 1 wheel brie cheese (about 8 oz) Ensure brie is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (canned or homemade)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • to taste Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish) Consider using rosemary or thyme.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather all ingredients.
  • Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions.
  • Make sure the brie cheese is at room temperature for easier melting.

Assembly

  • Sprinkle a floured surface to prevent sticking, then roll out the puff pastry.
  • Place the brie in the center, spoon cranberry sauce over it, covering evenly.
  • Fold the pastry over the brie and seal the edges tightly.
  • Brush the outside of the pastry with the egg wash.

Baking

  • Transfer the wrapped brie onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Finishing Touch

  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with crackers or baguette.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can freeze it before baking for later use.
