  • 1 piece egg Acts as a binder to hold the meatballs together.
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion Adds moisture and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup milk Keeps the meatballs tender.
  • 1 tsp salt Essential for enhancing overall flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp pepper Adds a hint of spiciness.

Sauce

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce Choose homemade or store-bought based on preference.
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce The sweetness complements the tartness of the cranberry.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Adds a depth of flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all ingredients. Measure out the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, milk, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to blend thoroughly.
  • Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the meatballs.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • Check if the meatballs are cooked thoroughly; they should be golden and firm to the touch.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven, allow them to cool slightly before serving.
  • Optionally, garnish with finely chopped parsley before serving.
  • Serve warm with toothpicks or in a bowl with extra sauce for dipping.
