Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to streamline the cooking process. Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin.
  • Spread a generous amount of chocolate hazelnut spread onto each flattened slice of bread.
  • Carefully roll up each slice of bread tightly.

Cooking

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Dip each roll in the egg mixture, ensuring it's coated evenly.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  • Place the dipped roll-ups in the skillet, seam side down. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.

Notes

For a vegan version, replace eggs with flaxseed meal and ensure bread and spread are plant-based. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
