Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Chop the semisweet chocolate into smaller pieces for even melting.
  • Wash and cut fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces; prepare marshmallows and cake on a serving platter.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it just begins to simmer.
  • Remove from heat and immediately add the chopped chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • If necessary, return to low heat, stirring continuously until chocolate is fully melted.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.

Serving

  • Transfer the melted chocolate mixture to a fondue pot or heat-safe bowl.
  • Arrange dippable treats on a large platter for your guests.
  • Provide skewers or forks for dipping, and encourage everyone to create their combinations.

Notes
