Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the hot dogs into bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the sliced hot dogs evenly in a baking dish.
  • Pour the can of chili over the sliced hot dogs.
  • In a bowl, combine the cornbread mix, milk, egg, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Spread the cornbread batter over the chili and hot dogs.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
