  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Finely chop the onion and parsley, and mince the garlic to make the mixing process smoother.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, garlic, and parsley. Stir to just blend.
  • Sprinkle in the cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently.
  • Add the beaten egg to the mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small uniform balls or oval shapes.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully place the koftas into the pan.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; koftas should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Notes

Serve with yogurt sauce or tzatziki. Perfect for garnishing with extra parsley or a sprinkle of paprika before serving.
