Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced Choose thin slices for even cooking.
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed Fresh green beans retain a crisp texture; frozen are an option too.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Opt for low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier choice.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil This adds healthy fats and flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic brings aromatic depth.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Ginger adds a lovely warmth and zest.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for balancing flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and trim the green beans. Mince the garlic and ginger finely.

Cooking

  • Pour the olive oil into a large skillet or wok and heat it over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger once the oil is hot. Sauté for about one minute, stirring constantly.
  • Next, add the sliced chicken to the pan. Spread it out in a single layer and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned and cooked through.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, toss in the green beans and cook for 5 minutes to ensure they remain vibrant and firm.
  • Drizzle in the soy sauce and stir well to combine everything.
  • Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes. The green beans should become tender but still have some bite.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding a splash of sesame oil towards the end of cooking. A sprinkle of sesame seeds can make your dish look more appealing.
