Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and chop the garlic. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Cooking Chicken

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and cook seasoned chicken breasts for 6 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  • Top each chicken breast with shredded cheese and cover the skillet briefly to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Sandwich

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread. In a clean skillet, place one slice of bread butter-side down, layer with cheesy chicken, and top with another slice butter-side up.
  • Grill the sandwich over medium heat until the bread is golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Once toasted and cheese is melted, slice sandwich diagonally and serve hot.

Notes

Consider adding herbs like basil or spinach for extra flavor. Adjust seasonings to preference.
